Some of you are having a hard time with the way some of your friends are changing.
The friends that are “changing” are having a hard time with some of you.
Actually, you all are changing in some way. Some are more drastic than others.
All of you need to realize that you have to answer for your actions. You have to be responsible for yourselves. Doing your thing is okay as long as you know the repercussions. You can't please yourself and think that everyone else is supposed to be happy about it too.
You’re changing, they’re changing, everyone changes, especially when you’re teenagers. This is the time in your lives that you decide your morals, your opinions and your general thought train. No, none of it has to be permanent, but you'll try new things until you find the right one for you. Then, you are close to who you are.
Right now, you may think "this is who I am" and it may be, but it's not set in stone. Love your friends anyway. Be there to catch them they stumble and I guarantee they’ll be there to catch you.
Keep in mind, you think that your “best friends” will be with you for your entire life. That’s not true. But as you change, you will tend to flock towards others that are like you. That’s not to say that you won’t care about your friends of the past. Only that you’ll be closer to people who have more of the same things in common.
All of this doesn't only apply to any one person, but to anyone between the ages of 12 and 21. Take it from someone who knows.
Know that I care and that I will not give up on any of you. You know who you are.
